　　The main reason which can affect the consumption rate in the smelting period of graphite electrode:

　　1. The poor quality of steel scrap or the improper ratio can make the bad effect of slag, then prolong the smelting time.

　　4. The big fluctuation of currency or excessive currency can cause the connection location of graphite electrode is easy to break off, and the bottom is of cone tip shape. If the currency is low, the furnace temperature cannot meet the production request within the effective heating time, then have to prolong the operation time. The overload or prolonged operation time is the largest loss and consumption for graphite electrode.
