Graphite Electrode Application in Medium Frequency Furnace and Steel Making.

In Metal Smelting Furnace industry, the graphite electrodes are mainly used for medium frequency furnace steelmaking, which is through the graphite electrode to conduct the electricity to the furnace, the electric current at the end of the electrode will produce arc and with the heat made by arc to smelt. Different size of graphite electrode should be applied according to the capacity of the Medium Frequency Furnace, IF Furnace, or Intermediate Frequency Furnace.

Continuous, large scale, and low energy consumption has been the trend of the development of world steel industry and with challenges from temperature limit and pressure limit, requirement for the manufacturing and processing of graphite electrode has been more and more strict to minimum the accidents happened through the production procedure and reduce the energy consumption. With the new development in graphite, the efficiency of Medium Frequency Furnace, Diathermy Furnace, IF Furnace and Smelting Furnace as well as most kinds of Quenching Equipment or Annealing Furnace will increase remarkably.
